In-Game Description: Change the letter of any tile you own, or that is unclaimed, to a new letter!
The Refresh is one of the most popular boosts to use in Word Off! since it might give some tactical benefits to your word strategy. The key word there is “might.” While the Refresh guarantees a new letter will be placed on a tile, there isn’t anything that will magically make a fantastic word appear.
For that reason, Refresh boosts are great last resort maneuvers if you are just unable to find a word that works in your favor. Another benefit to a Refresh is that it can break up a clump of vowels. Chipping away with small words to get to the area you want wastes precious turns, a refresh can pave the way.
The one danger about Refresh is that it can also benefit your opponent, if they are within striking distance of your refreshed letter. This is why is is key to use Refreshes early to mid-game while saving one for the end.
